Whatever God has destined for you must be, whether you like it or not, and when you try to fight it, you will face the consequences. Don’t be bent on what you want for yourself against God’s will. Otherwise, you will be delaying yourself, going through unnecessary pain, endangering other people’s lives, like Jonah did, among other consequences.

God sent Jonah to preach in Nineveh, but he sailed off to Tarshish. God caused a storm at sea, and the ship Jonah was in almost sank while he slept. When the people realised and threw him overboard, the storm ceased. Jonah’s example shows why you should not fight God’s purpose in your life.
