WHY SHOULD YOU GO TO GOD TO FIND YOUR PURPOSE?
Knowing that God is the One who created you, who knows you, loves you, and cares so much about you, should give you the confidence to trust him, and that it is in God – and God alone will you find and fulfil your purpose.
Another reason to trust God with your purpose is that He has good intentions for you. “How precious to me are thy thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!” (Psalm 139:17). God’s intentions for you are all for your good; even when it seems all is not well, you should trust in God.
God told the Israelites who were in exile in Babylon to continue fulfilling their purpose. “Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease” (Jeremiah 29:5-6). His intentions for you are “…for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
In Psalm 71, the Psalmist praised God who knew him and, for that, put his trust in the Lord.
